Dancing for a Cause: Castlemagner's Spectacular Fundraising Gala

A spectacular dance fundraiser took place at Charleville Park Hotel, drawing 900 attendees. The event, Castlemagner Strictly Come Dancing, aimed to raise funds for an astroturf training facility and ground improvements for the GAA club.

Keith Hanley, "The Voice of Ireland" winner and Charleville native, hosted the evening. Club Chairman Thomas Lenihan welcomed guests and thanked the dancers, choreographer Miriam Ball, sponsors, and organising committee members.

Twelve dancing couples performed after months of training under Ball's direction. A judging panel including Mags O'Riordan, Mags Nugent, Aideen McAuliffe, Noeleen Moylan, and Thomas Tobin evaluated the performances.

Winners

Public Vote: Tracey Fitzgerald (childcare professional at Cairdeas Childcare) and Conor Murphy (home energy advisor at Ashgrove Renewables)

Judges' Vote: Caroline Cott (national school teacher in Churchtown) and Ger Harrington (construction professional)

The winners praised the experience, highlighting friendships formed and community support received. Organising committee chair Siobhan O'Connell expressed gratitude to all participants.
